Our Walkabout is a wonderful way to bring our community together and welcome all our visitors to our lovely village in such a positive way.
The weather for 2016 was a little disappointing on the Monday, but it was another successful year for the Cropthorne Walkabout.
Our profit for 2016 reflected the lesser footfall and only reached £5500. Approximately half of this went to the Church for maintenance and general funds.
We gave donations to two requests. One from the school PTFA and the other from the Parish Magazine, Five Alive, which has been struggling to make ends meet with an increase in printing costs. We were also able to support Guiding, Scouting, the W.I. and the Cropthorne and Charlton Pre School.
We replaced a very dilapidated shed in the Churchyard which stores equipment for the Walkabout. This was long overdue and we are glad to have been able to assist with this.
We have our fingers crossed for sustained better weather this year!
Have fun and enjoy the days, we look forward to having you with us.
